Get to Know GirlFriday’s C.O.O

I love all things related to health and healing the body with alternative remedies. I love making things from scratch and finding healthier ways to prepare foods I enjoy without sacrificing the taste and comfort of it. I truly find so much joy in making yummy food that touches people deep in their souls! 

I love working out daily, sometimes twice a day!  I have had opportunities recently (especially while dating), to do so many fun things that I have really enjoyed, and ended up being pretty decent at – which is very affirming, haha, such as skiing, shooting, hiking, etc. I also play the keys at my church for Sunday worship. 

Working at GirlFriday was a gift I didn’t even know I was looking for, but really needed it at the exact moment it came into my life. A friend reached out about her company needing extra help, so I jumped at the chance. It was perfect timing. Initially, I was drawn to the fact that I could work from home while still raising my children because that is what matters most to me. I loved how flexible it was in the schedule. It kind of seemed too good to be true when I started so I went into it not really knowing if it would all work out.

When I was hired, I took a personality profile test and, through the results, Takisha saw I was creative – which I wasn’t really honed into or totally aware of at the time. I started designing and writing content for clients right away. I have learned many skills within GirlFriday which I am so grateful for! I didn’t come in with any specific skill set or particular wheelhouse, but I had a willingness and tenacity to learn. I never backed down from any challenge which I firmly believe has helped me get to where I am today.

I am so grateful for Takisha’s eyes to really see my full potential. She saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself, and she has believed in me all the way through and has been willing to impart and invest herself and skills into me. Within a year, I was promoted to C.O.O which has been incredible and still to this day feels a bit unreal.

I love the GirlFriday culture and being a part of an amazing team of women. Most of all, I love that God is the center of this business and Takisha has cultivated that so openly, transparently, and unashamedly, which has just been the best experience.

GirlFriday is all about excellence and taking care of our clients. We care about the relationship and set the client’s priorities as our own. Our heart truly is to serve and see our clients prosper endlessly and we are grateful to play our role in seeing that happen! We make it a point to not be transactional, but really jump in as a team member, working to grasp the heart and voice of each client, and even search for those unspoken needs to help take their business to the next level.
